videos, and for the most part the message is the same...hey losers thank you for buying this dumb album, keep up the good work and I will be able to buy more bullshit that you can't afford. I say things about it to people just to be called a hater, that I wish I could do what he is doing. Nothing could be further from the truth...what use could I possibly have for a helicopter with Louis Vuitton seats or a platinum chain with a damn anvil hanging off of it? They are a strong influence weather people will acknowledge it or not, the problem is there are so many people content to be followers, scared to death to have an original thought. Where are all the innovators, the leaders? Not everyone can be a rapper, and to put all your eggs in that basket is utter foolishness. Truthfully, there are talented people out there that deserve a shot, but that is not what I am getting at...the whole thing with trying to emulate fake shit is what I have a problem with. Trying to be like what you see on tv, buying a car and the first thing you do is buy rims, what about insurance, a tag?..buying a $200 dollar pair of shoes when you know you needed the money for something IMPORTANT....things like that will lead nowhere I think Rick Warren hit the nail on the head with his definition of materialism:
Materialism is buying things you dont need, with money you dont have, to impress people you don't even like. -Rick Warren
I don't have the answers, but it is a problem, all the stupid trends poisoning our culture, I know there are people out there that do agree with me, but honestly what can we really do? It is officially out of hand.
